I am a fourth-year undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Studio Art and Visual Studies at Northeastern University. I have spent my academic career studying contemporary work with an interest in queer artists, politically engaged work, and institutional critique. I have worked in museums and galleries in several roles and plan to pursue a career in museums after I graduate in the Spring of 2025.
Much of my artistic practice deals with themes of identity, memories, and personal archives. I do this through depictions of interior spaces, cities, and snapshots of everyday objects. I want viewers to think about the significance of this seemingly mundane subject matter. I explore spaces that feel instantly recognizable and familiar yet lack connections to distinct people. I’ve been thinking a lot about collective memory and ways people understand themselves through objects and spaces. My work investigates the mundane as a way of understanding more complex issues of identity, class, gender, and sexuality.
